On special occasions it crosses the Atlantic Ocean to visit the USA, where the ship stayed during WWII and provided training of US cadets.
This ship is owned by the Danish State and used for the training of navigators. She was built from steel by Nakskov Shipyard and was ready for delivery in 1933. She is equipped with six bulkheads of a watertight type, with wireless telegraph and a diesel engine of 250 HP. Also, she is equipped with an echo sounder and a cold storage.
